PBEB Joins Advocates at Next System Teach-In

There is growing momentum for public banking in California, and you could feel it in the room at Cal Poly Humboldt.

On November 8, the Next System Teach-In brought together students, organizers, and community members for a workshop on why California needs public banks now.

Organized by David Cobb and the North Coast Progressive Alliance, Debbie Notkin from Public Bank East Bay and Rick Girling from the SF Public Banking Coalition led a powerful discussion on how public banks keep public dollars working at home, support local resilience, and move us toward a more democratic and just economy.

This is how we build the next world we deserve, by taking our resources out of Wall Street extraction and investing them in our own communities.
